VERY RARE CAR - THUNDERBIRD 2 DOOR COUPE, 5 SEAT, 351 CLEVELAND, 5.8L, 3SPD AUTO Terrific value for a T-BIRD . This lovely 1978 mobile 351 Coupe is a real head turner and very often gets a thumbs up from other drivers. Origins This car was originally imported from Scottsdale Arizona USA. Original owner card, plate and compliance papers will be supplied in the sale. There will be no problems with RWC as it has been fully registered in both NSW and VIC. A RWC was issued on 22/9/16 however, car will not be supplied with RWC. Rest assured though, there won't be much to do, if anything at all as many repairs and aesthetic work has been done both during and after the RWC was issued. Due to personal circumstances, I simply don't have the time to procure a RWC. I'm simply selling this car as I'm buying a house and want to re-invest my money there. The work completed since the RWC was issued is as follows; Carburettor repaired incl. replacement of jets and is very economical for a 351 and has a pretty sound Cylinder head diagnosis new battery (still under warranty) new brake hoses front & rear new front brake pads new air filter new water pump and 3 x belts new ignition leads/spark plugs new rear wheel brake cylinders new car mats (cut to size) Some electrical components were repaired or replaced $2000 worth of front end & rear end work such as ball joints, bushes, etc. Car exterior fully detailed in Feb '17 by VIP Car Care & paint protection was applied All dockets for above work will be included with the sale The following spare parts will be supplied Brand new (Mar '16) door rubber kit with attachments (yet to be put on) Spare Carburettor (refer image) A roll of pin-striping in original style and colour (refer image) Features Car is left hand drive and has unique features inside and out such as pop up head lights, T-Bird hub cups, T-Bird emblem proudly positioned on the bonnet. T-Birds are everywhere Sitting in the front seat is like riding on a couch - very comfortable Transmission is in very good condition Car battery well looked after and always fully charged Always garaged by both myself and the previous owner Air Conditioner and Heater are awesome Very straight car with no rust Interior is a little worn but no tears or rips This price leaves some cash over to deal with a couple of non RWC issues as follows; Cylinder head has been diagnosed by qualified mechanic and he has images, video, and he advised recondition one of the cylinder heads (a full report of the issue can be provided along with contact details for the mechanic for serious buyers. Cylinder head problem is cuasing car to idle roughly but runs smoothly when not in idle. Although spending $1000 on interior dashboard assembly, I believe an original instrument panel or after market version, would be ideal. No time wasters, no tyre kickers, no joy riders.
